Nature is for everyone
Baerekracht inspires people to enjoy nature to the full β at their own pace, in their own way, even if this is difficult due to a mobility impairment.

Bear Power believes that spending time in nature is a fundamental right β for everyone, including those in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. We remove barriers, pool our knowledge and bring people into contact with nature.
The name Baerekracht comes from the Norwegian sustainability β resilience. That is exactly what we want to give people back.

Centre of Expertise for Accessible Nature Experiences
Baerekracht is developing, on behalf of Tourism Flanders, a Inspiration guide for accessible nature experiences in Flanders.
This inspiration guide inspires visitors and lays the foundations: a set of powerful design principles that help nature reserves and tourist destinations to make nature truly accessible β without compromise.
Our approach is unique: we do not start with theory, but with the real-life experiences of people who, despite a disability, want to push boundaries and enjoy the great outdoors to the full. Their stories and insights form the heart of our expertise.
Would you like to make your destination more accessible too?
Our team of experts is on hand to guide you.

As a non-profit organisation, we make this possible thanks to grants and partners who believe in accessible nature experiences. Are you or your organisation willing to contribute?
