Still Us Walk
A walk that will bring you closer together again.
No therapy, no armchair, no ‘tell me how you’re feeling’. Just setting off together, with a few moments along the way that trigger something.
When was the last time you did something together?
No plans, no worries, just as a couple?
You give your all for your child or children with special needs – time, energy and patience. Sometimes there’s little room left for your relationship. Whether you’re the one organising things or helping out behind the scenes, this walk is for you. It’s time to slow down, talk, be still, and rediscover who you are without the pressures of caregiving.
What is the Still Us Walk?
You set off together, walk a short distance apart whilst pondering a simple question, and then meet up again at a lovely spot to share what came to mind along the way. Simple, and powerful precisely because of that. There’s no pressure: you just come along for the ride.
Who is it for?
For any couple who have lost touch with each other amidst the hustle and bustle or the stresses of daily life. And especially for the partner who would never consider seeing a coach. It’s a walk, not therapy.

Support
By Els De Geyter
You will be guided by Els De Geyter: relationship coach and intimacy expert, and herself the mum of a son with a muscle disorder. She knows the reality of caregiving from the inside out. On the walk, she isn’t there as a therapist, but as someone who gently helps you on your way — and then lets the walk, the setting and the silence do their work.

My partner would never go to see a coach. Would he even be up for a walk?
That’s exactly what the walk is for. No chairs, no ‘tell me how you’re feeling’. Just setting off together, with a coffee before and after.
Should we discuss our problems whilst we’re out for a walk?
No. You’ll be given a simple question along the way, and you can share whatever you like. Sometimes, just sitting in silence together is enough.
Do we need to be able to walk well?
No. The route is short and accessible. It’s all about the peace and quiet and spending time together, not about the kilometres.
When is the first walk?
The first dates will be set soon, at a coffee bar in West Flanders. Leave your details and you’ll be the first to know. There’s no obligation.
